About DEWETRON’s Whitepaper
The performance of conventional cars, as an indispensable part of our daily life, seeks continuous improvement. Thus, performance testing has been carried out ever since.
Driving cycle testing on the test bench includes fuel economy and emission level analysis of car engine systems according to the
NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) standard since the 1980s
(last modification in 1997).
However, results under real conditions differ from results on
the test bench. This is a usual behavior frequently occurring.
In our whitepaper, we investigate the differences between the two standards, summarize inherent challenges and determine the ideal solution.
